Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited content

You may not upload, store, share or distribute:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities (such as NCMEC) and terminate the associated accounts.
• Content that is illegal where you or we operate, or that facilitates illegal activity.
• Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, including datasets you do not have the right to copy or redistribute.
• Personal data collected or processed unlawfully, or special-category data without a lawful basis and appropriate protection (we recommend client-side encryption for any sensitive data).
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or harassment.

2. Prohibited activity

• Distributing malware, or using share links, presigned URLs or public datasets to host phishing or command-and-control infrastructure.
• Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Service without written permission, or circumventing authentication, quotas or rate limits.
• Interfering with other customers or degrading the Service, including deliberately excessive request rates.
• Creating multiple accounts or organizations to evade Free plan limits, or otherwise abusing the free tier.
• Using the Service as a general-purpose public file-hosting or content-delivery network for unrelated traffic.
• Reselling the Service without a written agreement with DatasetSync.

3. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable access to content, revoke keys and share links, and suspend or terminate accounts. Where appropriate we will notify you and give you an opportunity to fix the issue. Because archived data is stored with independent third-party storage providers, removal from those providers may only take effect when the relevant storage contracts expire; we will remove access through the Service immediately.

4. Reporting abuse

To report content or activity that violates this policy, including copyright notices, email [email protected] with the relevant URLs (for example /s/… share links) and a description. We aim to respond promptly and prioritize reports involving harm to people.
